I have been able to duplicate the problem behaviour as described by jay_Arr (on
MacOSX 10.11.4).

For what it's worth, there is no hang when I run the Base app. with MACROS
DISABLED - I can see all TABLES, QUERIES, FORMS, REPORTS as listed and also
open all those elements I have tried so far (though I realize it is likely that
certain functionality might be lost without macros enabled). So it would seem
reasonable hypothesis that the root cause of the problem is the initialization
macro(s). I should also say that I had to also manually re-set the PATH to the
files in the database PROPERTIES (different from the path that had been set as
default) to match the app location on my system. I guess the initialization
macro would do that automatically?
