There has been a lot of changes merged recently to mail merge. Could you try
this dev build:
http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86@62-merge-TDF/current/
It is installed separately so will not mess with your current installation.
Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided further testing information
with 5.2.
