I've been bitten by this, it happens in Windows as well as Linux.
I think the point here is that a missing dependency (JRE on Windows, CoinMP on
Linux) shouldn't result in a fatal crash. Obviously the functionality won't
work without them but this can be checked before calling them, and displayed in
a normal warning message. Now I lost work and couldn't recover anything.
