I got some advice on IRC:
"The mailmerge.py (inside \program\ in the LibreOffice install directory) has a
dbg variable on line 52: dbg = False.
Setting this to dgb = True should produce an "pymailmerge.log" on Windows and
much more console output on Linux."
You could attach the .log file to this report after reproducing the problem. I
guess it is produced in the program folder, but not sure.
