Seems to be related to screen resolution and icon Bug 100995:
works fine when using internal display (non-Retina, 1280x800), but freezes when
using external display at 2560x1440.
When document window is opened on internal display and then external screen is
connected as default, freeze together with spoiled icons occur after trying to
resize the window.
No crash, but when started from Terminal, malloc error is displayed:
soffice(6012,0x7ffff44b53c0) malloc: *** error for object 0x7feb9e679800:
incorrect checksum for freed object - object was probably modified after being
freed.
*** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
