             Bug #: 51219
Summary: EDITING: Insert row behaviour is non-intuitive and not
                    correct
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: LibO 3.5.3 release
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Status Whiteboard: BSA
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Spreadsheet
        AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: rob...@iafrica.com

Created attachment 63206

example spreadsheet

Ubuntu 12.04. Processor: 32-bit. 4G memory.

If I have two formatted tables with one empty line between them (see example
sheetStud and sheetTrav, row.28) and I insert one row whilst selecting row28,
it inserts the row after row27 (i.e. it is as if it is inserted into the upper
table and the formatting moves down.)

In Calc if I select row29 in sheetStud and insert, it inherits the the top
border (but not the side borders.)

Note that when I do the same thing in sheetTrav, it does not do the same!

Now I have two empty rows between the two tables.

I select row29 I add a third empty row. I now have 3 empty rows between the two
tables.

Now I select row29..34. Insert.

The start of range formulae in the overlapped area (formerly row31) is not
changed, the range is stretched (it should not be). It thus includes itself in
the sum range.

This is hard to explain in text. I am happy to talk a developer through this
via skype, or pidgin using the attached workbook.
