Bug ID: 105755
Summary: EDITING drawing curves tool unusable for free
handwriting
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.3.0.2 rc
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Draw
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: j...@kronberg-gymnasium.de
Description:
When drawing curves with the Curve tool in Libreoffice Writer (LO 5.3
Symbolleiste > Zeichnen) or inside LibreOffice Draw, the resulting Bezier curve
ist smoothed to such an extend, that is nearly impossible to use this tool for
free handwriting, e.g. with an interactive Beamer or a tablet with pen control.
Is it possible, to implement an configuration option to control this automatic
smoothing behaviour or to change the default settings to a more handwriting
friendly level?
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Draw a freehand line with a pen with the curve tool in Writer or Draw
Handwritten Letters will be automatically smoothed so the become unreadeble
Actual Results:

Expected Results:
Smooth Handwriting, as it is possible with other vector drawing solutions e.g.
Google Zeichnung, Geogebra (https://www.geogebra.org/o/umajTCWk)
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
