Still working on that file. Under LO 5.3 and Linux I have tried opening a
scratch file and then opening the troubled file. Same crash, but all the files
crash right out of libreoffice. A panel appears with the notice that due to an
unexpected error Libreoffice has crashed; it the lists the file currently at
crash time, and reports that upon reopening Libreoffice the files will be
recovered.
This bug needs to be raised to critical status.
