I installed additional fonts on my Mac. However, I decided to “Restore Standard
Fonts” in Font Book to remove all additional fonts on my Mac. It seemed to
solve the problem and the bold text in LibreOffice dialog boxes and the sidebar
appear to have a thinner weight which is what is expected.
