Andy <silva...@katamail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Severity|normal |major Priority|medium |high --- Comment #1 from Andy <silva...@katamail.com> 2012-09-21 10:12:33 UTC --- Unfortunately some further fiddling showed that the calc sorting function is now quite messy. So the opposite problem is also happening: if you select for ordering some data including text data in the first row, the sort command will by default activate the "data contain headers in the firs row" option; and that's OK. However, if you do NOT want the first row to be considered as headers, because it actually contains data just as the other rows, you deactivate that option, choose a column as sorting criteria, and then the first row is excluded from the sorting anyway (which is WRONG!). This bug can lead to MAJOR problems if you do not know it and do some sorting operations (very commonplace in a spreadsheet) without carefully examining the results. This morning for example I risked publishing messy examination results for my students because of this. Actually, if you use calc frequently recurring to sorting, the program is now quite unusable. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
