Addendum to description:
I now see that the underline does appear if one holds the ALT key pressed. This
may or may not be an intentional new feature. In any case, I suggest reverting
to the earlier situation where the underline appears always. Reason: While the
menu headline items do require pressing the ALT key, once you are in such a
menu, selection of any of the items provided with a key does _not_ require the
ALT key. Thus, underlining the shortcut keys _always_ speeds up the user's
work.
