--- Comment #2 from Rainer Bielefeld <libreoff...@bielefeldundbuss.de> ---
Some of reporter's observations seem to be reproducible with "LibreOffice
3.5.7.2 rc German UI/Locale [Build-ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b]
on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit), but I don't see any problem.

My steps:
0. Open New Writer document from LibO Start Center
1. In Menu 'Tools -> Options -> LibO -> general' unselect
    "use LibO file dialogs"
2. Export a document "writer.pdf" from Writer
3. Close Writer Document without saving
4. From Start Center Open New presentation
5. Menu 'File -> Export As PDF' -> <Export>
   > WIN File Dialog appears, shows file name "unnamed1.pdf", "Automatic File
     Name Extension" is selected
6. Browse for folder where you saved "writer.pdf" if necessary
   (For me the explorer dialog showed folder with "writer.pdf")
7. Right click on "writer.pdf" -> Rename (Name in front of dot becomes
   highlighted) -> Rename to "writer123.pdf"
8. Click on PDF-icon in front of new "writer123.pdf" to confirm new file name
   and to leave file name edit mode
   > "writer123.pdf" appears as suggested name in file name pane, of course,
     if you now try to export a document "writer123.pdf" you will get a message
     that file already exists
9. type "presentation" into file name pane, <Save>
   > File will be exported with name "presentation.pdf"

That name of a clicked document appears in file name pane of file dialog is
intended.

@ Manuel Lains
unfortunately your descriptions like "Try to save" are much to imprecise to
find out whether a problem exists. Please describe at least as preciseas I
did.
