            Bug ID: 129093
Summary: Could we implement a command minibuffer a la "search
                    command" in Microsoft Office or
                    execute-extended-command in emacs
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: UI
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org

Sometime I wanted to use a function, but it could be hard finding this function
through toolbars and menus. It could be with writer, calc or impress. In
Microsoft Office there is the "search command" feature, which is a one line
text input box in the UI, there I could write some keywords, and it gives a
pull-down menu of candidate actions, then by clicking on one of the candidate
actions, I could apply some formatting, insert an object, or open a config
dialog. The feature was reported[1]. It could be nice to have something
analogous in LibreOffice. And there is the execute-extended-command in emacs,
usually bound to M-x, which prompts for a command int the minibuffer, then
executes that command after hitting return. execute-extended-command accepts
exact command names. Many other softwares also have some similar concept.
