Yes -- and exactly that is the difference:
* in 3.6, toolbar and document are *always* easily distinguishable
  from each other;
* in 4.0, the distinguishability depends on the settings for rulers
  and document background color, and this is not good.


When was this problem introduced? There is still a little border line between
toolbar and document in:

master~2012-08-21_00.09.17_LibO-Dev_3.7.0.0.alpha0_MacOS_x86_install_en-US.dmg

The problem appears in:
master~2012-08-31_04.36.39_LibO-Dev_3.7.0.0.alpha0_MacOS_x86_install_en-US.dmg

I am sorry that I don’t have any master build between 2012-08-21 and
2012-08-31, but it may be enought to know that the problem was introduced in
that timeframe

Could it, e.g., be a side-effect etc. of one of Jan Holesovsky’s (Kendy’s) UI
changes committed in 2012-08-23?
