Unfortunately I cannot see my original bug report text anymore. However, I am rather sure that the charts in Bug 57238 were created directly in Impress. "directly in Impress" means that I entered data in the data field of the chart in Impress. As I saw the bug I then changed to create charts in Calc and worked with Copy & Paste Special as a work around.
