I can confirm this behavior.
Could be a good idea to separate the problems. You have reported two problems.
For a developer it would be better to look for one problem in one bug.
I have opened another bug for the problem of comment 2 (brackets were removed
by the autofilter): https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58644
