Tested with Kubuntu 13.04 daily live cd, LiBo 3.6.2.2.
I've run $ libreoffice witch eth0 up and running, and took 3.5 seconds
Then I emptied the cache:
$ sudo echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches
disabled eth0 from network manager, and run $ libreoffice again
It took the same speed.
Was your a default Libreoffice installation, or did you add some extension that
could have be the problem?
Or maybe 3.4.5 that had some "check updates" feature now removed?
I flag it as closed, if the reporter has new info we will reopen
