But the "old doc" is also in the new system:

It does provide solutions for scoping, with breaks ("One Page Long Styles",
"Manually Defined Range of a Page style").

Regarding the insert menu item, yes, unfortunately there are many outdated menu
references, because massive changes were made to the menus without any regard
for help updates. However, updating the help often takes at least ten times the
effort of updating the menu item position in the software itself.

Let's keep this for the menu stuff.
