Sounds like the problem I reported in bug 133625, but could never really track
down. My guess was that it was related to my desktop environment (Cinnamon),
or because I had folders mounted to a samba server.
Vincent - if you are still having the problems, does it help if you open a
second document from the start centre while you are waiting for the first to
load? Even doing that with the same document seemed to work nicely for me.
