while we try to work out how to avoid DrawTransformedBitmap continuing to be an
expensive operation nearly everywhere. It is sad to have to have caches in the
rendering backends cairo, skia etc. to accelerate this when my understanding
is that a device resolution cached version of the output really belongs higher
up in the drawing-layer.
Anyhow the patch is not needed by us to solve any performance issue we see I
think.
