My understanding of the LibreOffice "page" environment, including page
orientaiton, irrespective of application module, is that it is dependent on the
applied page style, whether default or user defined.
As as I understand it, this has always been the way that page definitions have
been considered, all the way back to the original origins of StarOffice.
It therefore seems unlikely to me that your request for enhancement would ever
see the light of day, as that would involve changing the document model, and
have repercussions throughout the whole application.
I would love to be proven wrong, but am not very hopeful.
What I will do though is confirm your request for enhancement.
