repro 7.2+, but not in bibisect-50max
The type of paste doesn't matter. A normal paste does the same thing. Nor does
it matter whether the paste is into a footnote or not.
I saw the same thing happening in the oldest of bibisect-linux-64-5.2 (aka
5.1).
When testing bibisect-50max, it didn't seem to re-count the words.
BIBISECT_REQUEST: I think Windows has a nice 5.1 bibisect.
There is no nice bibisect 51 for Linux. I have a daily, debug version, but the
debug is much slower. On the oldest commit (which matches the day after 50
master), I notice the word count restarting from 1. So I'm doubtful whether a
bibisect will turn up anything...
