Yes, the computer I reported from was the windows 10 mentioned in the original
message, then followed by the word AND, meaning I did not file a separate bug
from the Fedora box, but that I had ALSO tried using a Fedora machine,
eliminating the possibility that it was limited to, or only present on one OS,
hopefully reducing the troubleshooting steps by doing some experimenting on my
side.
I also tried two separate Fedora machines I had available, one running 32, the
other 33. I suppose I could move the SQL file to one of my home computers and
try it on Ubuntu and CentOS...
The ODBC is a 64 bit driver, V. 17 for SQL Server, from Microsoft found here:

I attached screenshot of said driver.
