--- Comment #4 from Albert Acer <albac...@gmail.com> --- (In reply to Julien Nabet from comment #3) > hhCbE(In reply to Albert Acer from comment #2) > > Proposed translation to Spanish for “Outline Font Effect” in Weblate: > > “Efecto Contorno” > > But what about the translation of the "font" part? A strictly literal and technical translation, as provided by some translators such as Google Translator, is not always the best way to express what the native speaker should understand. There are cases in which it is necessary to express the same idea with other simpler words or expressions that mean the same thing. This happens with Microsoft Office and all other office suites that compete with LibreOffice. In the LO 7.1 branch, for example, all other words were omitted and only the word "Contorno" was kept, possibly to make the meaning very compatible with the meaning that Microsoft Word (Spanish version) has fixed for that same concept. I attach a screenshot of the LO 7.1 branch (in Spanish) showing how the Spanish translation was fixed for this same concept related to this bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
