Bug ID: 143770 Summary: Imported file with graphics and text not displaying properly Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: paulsut...@disroot.org Description: Using LibreOffice 7.0 under Debian 11, I was sent a .docx file of a flyer that contains both text and graphics, in the top part of this, should be the event title, however the text displayed seems to also include text from previous incarnations of the flyer. The library do seem to be having similar issues with the Online version of MS office. The files display in their local install of MS office (version they are using unknown) so they can download and open fine. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open file in writer 2. With this particular file (or similar files of different flyers) I get the same issue, I have linked to my blog post below which also links to two different files, which both display in the same way. 3. Actual Results: The document is an event flyer, the top part has the title of the event. In this case the titles of other events are also displayed together, which should not happen. Expected Results: I would expect a title to display and not parts of a previous document that are I guess cached within the file. Not sure on the right terminology here, but clearly the old parts are still there. Maybe part of the clipboard area for copy paste, not sure. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I have created a blog post below https://personaljournal.ca/paulsutton/libreoffice-7-file-open-with-contentproblem With details, to the files that are problematic, and screenshots of the output plus a picture of what should be displayed (this is just a png file) Also included a screenshot showing the version of LibreOffice I amusing from the Help -> about box. I am not sure if this is happening on ALL versions of Linux. I shared the above on Mastodon, partly to ask if anyone else had the same issue..I was advised to file a bug report. I think one other person tried this and got a similar result. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
