Priority: medium Bug ID: 61291 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Moving Templates from 3.5.5 to 4.0.0.3 Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: kdi...@rrwrd.dst.il.us Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.0.3 release Component: Writer Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 75330 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=75330&action=edit Creating a menu item Windows XP SP3 We created numerous templates in LO 3.5.5. We created the letter/template and inserted input fields that would stop and ask the user to input the appropriate data. We then created a menu item that would show each time a blank Writer document was opened. Here are the steps we took. Tools, Customize, Menus. We added a new menu (call it Billing), then under menu content, clicked add, application, new document from template. After confirming, this adds a menu item called Billing. Tools, Options, LibreOffice paths would point to the template directory on the network. In LO 3.5.5 this would open the template the user chose, then prompt them for input fields. The input data would then be inserted in the letter. We are hoping to upgrade to version 4.0.0.3, but when we try to duplicate what worked in LO 3.5.5, the template doesn't stop at the input fields to prompt the user for data. We have found that if the template is opened (File, Open (browse to network directory)), the template will prompt the user for input. However, we would like to be able to create the menu selection for opening the templates directly from a Writer document the way we were able to in LO 3.5.5. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
