However, I did try this: "Tools -> Options -> View panel and uncheck both the "Use Skia for all rendering" and the "Force Skia software rendering"--the first to disable Skia Vulkan acceleration, the second prevents fallback to Skia lib raster only rendering." And no change. "We do still need to know your GPU and driver details." Okay.
