Bug ID: 146304 Summary: Not able to connect Sqlite database to FlatPak version of LibreOffice Base via ODBC Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.2.4.1 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: david.w.pot...@btinternet.com Description: I previously had a version of LibreOffice (LO) installed from the repository of my distribution. I am running Debian 11. I was able successfully to connect a data source to LO Base and Writer using ODBC to connect an Sqlite database for MailMerge. This worked perfectly. I decided to remove the version of LO I had installed and to install the FlatPak version. Now I am unable to establish an ODBC connection. When I try to set up a connection to an ODBC database, I get the following error message. "Could not load the program library libodbc.so or it is corrupted. The ODBC data source selection is not available." I have checked my ODBC setup and nothing has changed since it was working perfectly with the previous set-up of LO that I had. I have installed Flatseal, and I have tried changing various permissions but nothing I do seems to make any difference. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open LibreOffice Base and try to set up an ODBC connection to an Sqlite database. 2. 3. Actual Results: I get the following error message: "Could not load the program library libodbc.so or it is corrupted. The ODBC data source selection is not available." Expected Results: An ODBC connection to the database should have been established. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Information from menu Help - About LibreOffice ================================================ Version: 7.2.4.1 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 27d75539669ac387bb498e35313b970b7fe9c4f9 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.10; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI: en-GB Flatpak Calc: threaded OpenGL Information =================== xx@dxx-pc:~$ glxinfo | grep OpenGL OpenGL vendor string: Intel OpenGL renderer string: Mesa Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 (SKL GT2) OpenGL core profile version string: 4.6 (Core Profile) Mesa 20.3.5 OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 4.60 OpenGL core profile context flags: (none) OpenGL core profile profile mask: core profile OpenGL core profile extensions: OpenGL version string: 4.6 (Compatibility Profile) Mesa 20.3.5 OpenGL shading language version string: 4.60 OpenGL context flags: (none) OpenGL profile mask: compatibility profile OpenGL extensions: OpenGL ES profile version string: OpenGL ES 3.2 Mesa 20.3.5 OpenGL ES profile shading language version string: OpenGL ES GLSL ES 3.20 OpenGL ES profile extensions: -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
