If Format -> Bullet & Numbering it's set to NONE Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Writer 2. Toggle numbering on.. Type something. 3. Format -> Bullet and numbering -> Notice character set to Numbering symbols 4. CTRL+Z everything 5. Format -> Bullet and numbering -> Now the default is set to none Actual Results: Directly activating Numbering Symbols Using dialog NONE Expected Results: I would guess Numbering Symbols by default, but well not the expert.
