A key step was to make all the changes, creating the new paragraph style. The changes would not take visible effect until I: 1. Changed the numbering style for the chapter titles to No numbering, 2. Saved the file and closed it. 3. Opened it again 4. Changed the numbering style from No Numbering to WWNum3 5. Saved and closed the file 6. reopened it.
