To summarize your request: it's possible to have the Navigator in one sidebar and the Stylist in another. Docking is possible yet buggy on Linux. The (right) sidebar needs a minimum width to avoid hidden controls (you can override this with the expert option Sidebar:General:MinimumWidth, see bug 140360).
