As suggested by raal, I performed a test on LibreOfficeDev_7.4.0.0.alpha0 from april 26 with french language pack, Linux deb X64 version. Build = 67d8c245daf7c6ee33e908255f2bbd0ea8d08206 All seems OK, the circumflex accent appears when writing "%rhô" in the formula editor, and the image is the greek letter "ρ".
