--- Comment #3 from Jorendc <joren.libreoff...@telenet.be> ---
Hi,

I'm not living in Canada or USA. But anyhow, to see things improved we need to
write it down. I'm not a developer, so explain it to me alone will not solve
this problem.

Please also do not reply to the email you receive. Please browse to this bug
report https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62172 instead.

First question: what version of LibreOffice are you currently using?

You said the 'save as' function didn't work. To determine where the problem is,
we need to reproduce it first (if we can't reproduce it, we don't know what to
fix/what is wrong). To determine it can you please try the following:

* Open LibreOffice
* Go to File > Recent Documents
* A drop-down menu will open

Second question: is your document listed in that list drop-down list?

Then, to dig a bit further:
* Open Writer (the text editor)
* Type something random in the document
* File > Save As...
* Browse to a directory where you want to save the file (ie the Desktop)
* Give the document a name and hit 'Save'.
* Close LibreOffice and go to your Desktop.

Third question: is the document stored on your desktop?

This is a core function of LibreOffice. It seems not likely this is a bug, but
more 'not saved by accident'.

Kind regards,
Joren
