Free? Sorry. I just want that half-hour of my life back that I spent trying to
figure out something that I believe used to be accessible by right-clicking on
the cell, yes? Plus the 20 minutes I spent trying to file a bug report when
there was a message AT THE END OF IT saying I should check my user profile --
itself an arcane function.
Plus, this is just one of many frustrations. Lately, a bunch of stuff that used
to work no longer does. I made charts of rainfall that mysteriously shrank in
size, and I never could figure out why or how to fix them. They also contained
text inside that suddenly changed orientation for no apparent reason.
I minored in CSci during my doctorate, and have spent thousands of hours
writing code. They taught me to make things user-friendly, not to bury common
functions 4 layers deep. Plus, I donate money to Libre Office. So, don't tell
me this is completely "free". Time is money, too. However, I do have great
respect for the project. So, how about we shake hands and get on with it. I
recognize that you guys are doing very important work. Because, otherwise, we'd
be completely at the mercy of Microsoft.
