1. Is no longer displayed or is deleted?
If it is deleted, choose menu Tools - AutoCorrect - AutoCorrect Options -
Options tab, and see if "Delete spaces and tabs at beginning and end of
paragraph" and "Apply Styles" are checked.
That is not the most probable, unless character style with highlighting is
applied.
