OK, so what would be the enhancement request exactly?

As I understand it, this is "not a bug" because the shape is not an object from
a master AutoLayout, and therefore does not use a presentation style. (Regina
can correct me on the specifics.)

The Presentation styles can't be "applied" to an element, only modified to
update the formatting of presentation objects.

So is the enhancement request:
"Make it possible to apply an Outline Presentation Style to any paragraph" ?

In which case, I think it would break the concept of Presentation Styles and
I'd vote for won't fix, and redirect you to proper paragraph and list styles
support in Impress: bug 152654 and bug 152653.
But other can give their opinion.

Or am I missing something?
