In the supposed workflow you create a page style A ("left", "even"...) and B,
and make the one follow the other. Then you set-up header/footer for each of
the two PgS with all needed attributes. The page layout "Left/Right" simplifies
this workflow.

Now you may have predefined settings for the header in mind, eg. to right-align
content for right pages. But RTL users have opposite needs, or if you plan to
bind a book from top, etc. Flexibility is key and we should not configure a lot
of predefined scenarios.

Or have I missed something?
