It does indeed. But the Update message is still confusing... "LibreOffice 3.5.1 RC2 is available. The installed version is LibreOffice 3.5.1." Why would someone who already has version 3.5.1 would want to update to an RC release? :) It should report "3.5.1.2 is available". Even if the RC reference is lost (and this seems to be inevitable since any RC can become a Final version and I think TDF doesn't want another "3.5.0rc3" version ever again) at least it makes sense as an update i.e. x.y.z.w to x.y.z.(w+1) I would like to suggest (again) that the installer for RC versions is named x.y.z.wRC so that there is some common element between the installer and the About box. E.g. LibO_3.5.1rc2_Win_x86_install_multi renamed to LibO_3.5.1.2rc_Win_x86_install_multi When an RC build is promoted to Final, you just need to rename the installer. There is no change to the About box. This means that any user can be aware that he is installing an RC version and the name matches the About box (even if the RC reference is lost). -- View this message in context: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Libreoffice-qa-3-5-1-Online-Update-testing-tp3806470p3812480.html Sent from the QA mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ List Name: Libreoffice-qa mailing list Mail address: Libreoffice-qa@lists.freedesktop.org Change settings: http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-qa Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice-qa/
