Hi Kohei, Markus, Christoph, and everyone else,
To repeat one of Christoph's earlier questions: can you give a specific timespan per recalculation for the common case and for a particularly taxing document? Let's say, the hardware is a Notebook Intel Core Duo processor, ~ 1.8 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 5200 rpm hard disk under 32-bit Windows/Linux (or a similarly powerful machine that any of you possesses). We could also look at a slightly newer machine, too, with a Core 2 Duo or Core i... (I'll be happy to test any documents on my 2.6 GHz C2D notebook). (Christoph has just beat me to it, but I won't change the mail any more now.) And, then, another question: is it really absolutely impossible to validate a formula without recalculating the entire document? >From Christoph's mail: >> By the way: if that really ends up in the dialogue, I am strongly in >> favour of adding a link to a help file, explaining what formula >> expressions can be used. I'll admit that I was too dumb see what could >> be done with any other operators but ":". > > Isn't the help one click away, anyway? The Help button is there, but the linked help page doesn't explain what can operators/expressions are allowed. Astron. BTW: I just opened a bug for the crash I see in the Define Names dialogue: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42323 (dang it, I would have loved to open bug 52323). _______________________________________________ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise
