We can filter import it for use in Draw (default), Writer, or Impress and we can filter export (or Print) to PDF. We'd like to have a filter to directly insert a single PDF document as if an image (bug 89727); or edit the text strings pulled from PDF as paragraphs (bug 32249) etc. but we can not "edit" a PDF. Adjusting the summary to reflect that we will always be filtering PDF for import and export.
