Outlook is one component of the MS Office Suite. No more "separate" than Word
is separate from Excel or Power Point.

While I understand there are other open source Outlook like products available,
I and many businesses would prefer to have a Complete Integrated Suite from a
single vendor. There are other open source word processors, spreadsheet
programs, database programs, etc... But I'd rather have a complete suite from
LO than a bunch of separate, incompatible programs.

Maybe there's some reason LO doesn't want to compete with Thunderbird, I don't
know. But I think LO would gain a lot more users if they included an Outlook
like module in their suite. I'm really curious as to why LO doesn't want to do
that? It can't be any harder than the other components they've done. It just
doesn't make any sense.
