--- Comment #4 from franks...@yahoo.com --- Hmm, the comment above is (IMO) an inaccurate and unfair characterization. re: ...decided to keep the quickfind bar plain and simple... As in the original submission (under additional info), why not let the user decide whether to add or remove a new "entire cell" widget? That's true for nearly every other flavor of find (having a widget that's addable to the Find Bar), but since there's currently no widget for "entire cell", the user has no choice. If you only object to the clutter, how about creating the widget and have it *not* on the Find Toolbar, by default? re: ... Searching for entire cells is (almost) as fast with the dialog .. Only if the user keeps the Find/Replace dialog up persistently, which is *alot* more screen clutter than the single widget. Especially if user is running the spreadsheet full-screen. Especially since the dialog isn't resizeable (unlike the toolbar). Especially when the searched item is underneath the dialog window. Lastly, as mentioned in the original submission, alternatively the Find toolbar could work like it does in OpenOffice, by using the current (global, or per-document) state of the an "entire cell" boolean. The user could set that state via the find/replace dialog, then close the dialog and then just use the find toolbar. Please reconsider this "WONTFIX", for the reasons above. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise
