Please forgive my ignorance... If you don't want the PT to be automatically
updated, perhaps you could copy the content of the PT to a simple table (not in
the sense of Excel's Table, nor as a Pivot Table). I mean, once you built the
structure of the PT, and the data is acquired in order to fill the PT with
content, can't you just copy the result to a simple table? The result of that
copy should be independent of the original data, breaking the relation to the
PT. Is this a valid workaround?

Is this "locked" Pivot Table request available in other spreadsheet tools?
