We discussed this topic in the design meeting.

Most are worried about the inflation, the idea of adding links to the config is
ultimately the same. What we could do though is another tab purely informative
with the advice (and a button that also closes the dialog) to looks through the
options dialog.

Automatically detecting the username does sound good, but has a good likelihood
to fail since the OS is often preconfigured. OTOH, a user name "Lenovo T1" or
"Bobs Hardware" would be a clear clue for the user to check the options.

We pondered over an infobar saying "Your name seems to be Benjamin Franklin. Do
you want to use it [Yes] [Configure] [x]" but this solution would have similar
drawbacks as an extra first-start tab. Another idea was to ask the user when a
document is save the first time and the user name is empty.

We need to consider an option to not ask those question in a corporate
environment.
