Format > Autocorrection > While typing allows to temporarily switch off the AC. This command is customizable and can be assigned to a shortcut and/or a toolbar icon. Adding another switch over-complicates the workflow and clashes with the existing options. Plus, we cannot blindly extend the style attributes as this needs to be standardized (besides the question whether AC on the style makes sense). So the verdict is WF. However, Calc also has AC and changes the first letter, for example, always to upper case. And Calc misses this "[ ] While typing" option. In this case it makes sense to add some option to temporarily switch AC off, ideally similar to Writer with "Apply and Edit" but not necessarily (apply and edit after cells are filled sounds wrong). Different topic though, apparently handled in bug 156020. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
