The expected behavior is correct, a dashed or dotted rectangle should indicate
the docking area when released. And in fact it works like this - at least on
macOS. When dragging to the bottom of the sidebar to the right edge of the
document canvas and even on the bottom I see the rectangle. But the hotspot is
not too large, looks like only the scrollbar triggers the docking.
