--- Comment #4 from ady <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #2) > I would rather consider to make the dialog non-sizable, which is the default > in LibreOffice. Do you mean to always show the Function Wizard window in the same pre-defined size, instead of being sizable? If that is what you meant, then you would go against explicit requests, which is why the Function Wizard and its Function Tree can have their windows sizes modified according to users' needs. I think that the OP just used the LET() function as example for the screenshot. I think that the request is for the amount of arguments shown to be modifiable. Instead of showing at most 4 arguments (no matter the specific function) and then having to scroll the list of arguments up and down, the scroll area could be modified by the user, allowing to show more arguments instead of limiting it to 4 or less. IOW, allow the user to change the (vertical) size (too) where the arguments are shown, instead of forcing the use of (vertical) scroll bars. STR: 1. Introduce 1 numeric value per cell in 10 cells (A1:A10). 2. Cell A11: =SUM(A1:A2;A3:A4;A5:A6;A7:A8;A9:A10) and [enter]. 3. Focused (back) on cell A11, open the FW. 4. Modify the window size to be more-than-big-enough to show all arguments (5 arguments for this example). Even though the FW window has enough space to show more than 4 arguments, it shows only 4 of them. For the fifth (and more), we need to scroll down. Most of the space is not used for something useful. Having the possibility to expand the amount of arguments would help users and the space would be used more efficiently. As with the other sizable aspects of the FW, the amount of arguments should be remembered (not necessarily permanently, but in the same way the other areas / sizes of the FW are remembered). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
