Hurray, I have finally got past bootstrap phase and I'm leaving it build in the background today while I'm at work.
I had a number of small issues that I had to resolve, including being unable to execute some of the installers that were downloaded. A chmod 755 src/*.exe src/*.EXE seemed to resolve that, but a couple of other issues too. I will send an update tonight if all goes well.
