You can tell because the methods at the top of the crashing stack are nothing alike. This looks like a memory management issue - we are trying to call a method on an OSX object that has already been freed. Apple calls this a "zombies" problem, and has a dedicated tool for tracking it down: https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/DeveloperTools/Conceptual/InstrumentsUserGuide/EradicatingZombies.html
