Yup, the variable bUseRegularExpressions is not longer set in 3-6 branch. It seems that the related methods were removed during some clean up. It work well, there => pushed into 3-6, see http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?h=libreoffice-3-6&id=f1c26949e29278a3eae0c167f172a0fd4895fd2f Hmm, the variable bUseRegularExpressions is still used on several locations in 3-5. It needs more tweaking to make it working there. I am not sure if it is worth the effort, though.
